Centralized services do not offend me as much as the *assumption* that *every* service is centralized, and needs to be whitelisted in such APIs.

Just need to wait 3 more days. If no new bugs are discovered, we'll have 1.6.0 in 3 days.

It's a nootropic from the dark web called Uzi Dumplings. Dude was in the middle of deliverin' a quarterly earnings report, suddenly he's rollin' out the door on an electric unicycle.

Found the perfect piece of decoration to hang beside my soldering bench at a thrift store this morning - an instructional poster for a 1960s Soviet military geigercounter (type ะ”ะŸ-63-A), complete with circuit schematic!

The Earth is round, how come Australia hasn't fallen off?

Trying to rember an artist, wonder if anyone can help? They had a mostly online presence, enjoyed them something like 8, 9 years ago.
Can't remember too much, except that they were digital paintings, dark fantasy & scifi. Undead things, plague doctor things, I think also WW2 mecha. Reckon there might have been one pice of an astronaught being posessd by some kind of spirit....

I got this vision of Laura Branigan singing Change Control to the tune of Self Control.

Comical discussion with a recruiter. It's the Bill Gates argument. Why would anyone write software without being paid to do it?

I said it's like being an author. Authors will write regardless of whether they can sell books. It's just what they do.

Fail2ban 0.10 (github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/r)
It took almost 6 years to get a new release for fail2ban, but it's a good one: support for IPv6, faster lookups by searching the fail of logfiles, improved filters, ... the Changelog (github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/b) is pretty big.

Anyone else excited about the upcoming instance for developers?

I use gitlab for upstream work and miss it when working on Debian packages on alioth.

Still it's easier to say "I don't like this" than fix the problem, I wish the team working on the replacement well (and thanks!)
