I started watching Andromeda a few months ago. Just finished the first season. Liking it a lot so far.
I recently also started Earth: Final Conflict, which is another posthumous Roddenberry show. It’s less Star Trek-y than Andromeda, but still very interesting, and Majel Roddenberry has a recurring role.
@smallsees i saw it as it was airing. like roddenbery's earth: final conflict, it starts out relatively strong and then gets progressively worse, the opposite of enterprise
Anyone seen Andromeda before? It has a #startrek feel to it as it's based on Gene Roddenberry's writings but mixed with a bit of DS9 and (regrettably) Star Trek: Enterprise.
I'm hopeful that it follows more of the former and none of the latter but it's early episodes for now.
Very on-form early 2000s #scifi
The Warlock-King observed his scrying mirror - eleven groups of adventurers were attempting to find him. Several of them were about to encounter each other deep within the dungeons he had created - his worst kept secret, countless leagues from his actual base.
He smiled at the unfolding chaos. Soon he would don a wig and engage more eager adventurers.
"What is the point of this duplicity?" asked his apprentice.
"Hockey doesn't exist yet."
This is a C64 demo for a *1541 disk drive*, and I'm just 😯. Even though I already knew that C64's drives were essentially computers with CPU and RAM, just the idea to use serial data/clock lines for video output is so incredibly AMAZING. So cool.

The contestants scrambled for ingredients; flour, honey, vanilla, pegasus feather, satyr essence...
Many unwittingly turned themselves into amphibians of some variety or another and needed to be taken out to the pond until a princess was available.
Workstations were turned ethereal, ovens flew away...
The remaining contestant won with triple chocolate muffins.
