Tired: Mario is the good guy, Browser is the bad guy and Peach is the object they fight over
Wired: Mario, Browser and Peach are just acting it all out, which is why in Super Mario 3 everything looks like a play and why they are happy to play board games and go-karting together
Inspired: Browser is controlled oppoision for Peach's unjust rule of the Mushroom Kingdom and Mario is a propaganda tool.

Looks like the #FSF is listening to the public outcry and is willing to take corrective steps!

Everybody please hold your stones and give them some time for reflection.

my favorite thing about Gonzo is how in the original 70s show he just always looked FUCKED up.

like i always say he looked like he'd Just been hit by a truck, which given his shtick as an unqualified dare devil i don't think that's far off from true at any given moment.

For the Kids Todayℒ️ who don't get my references:

- TV was like Hulu but even shittier ads, and you could only flick between like 4-5 livestreamed shows. But you could buy a printout every week that told you when you had to be there to see the show you liked. It could only play on a fuzzy 360x480i-ish screen, with mono sound.

- Postage stamps were little tiny stickers you had to lick to send very slow email printouts instead of texting. They cost about a bitcoin each, inflation is weird.

There shouldn’t be any shame in writing small software. Everything doesn’t have to β€œscale”.

If you build something cool it’s valid and good if it makes you or just a few people happy.

This doesn’t make you a bad programmer.

So... Thunderbird would like to support Activity Pub.

Anyone in the Fediverse wanna work on that?

I assumed that if GPT-3 generated pickup lines, they would be terrible because they would be something like human pickup lines. Instead, they are terrible for more delightful reasons.

I mean you already have your phone, what more could any company ask for?

You can add your name to the waiting list for beta test invitations by going to the flagship instance at:

For many years, I've known that when you write signal handlers you have to be careful about what functions are found there.

However, there is a list of known-good functions in the signal safety man page man7.org/linux/man-pages/man7/

Of particular note, your usual stdio print functions are *not* on that list.

Had some pine offcuts kicking around so I turned them into an investment opportunity.
